How to Prevent Your Wig from Looking Shiny and Plastic

Reduce artificial shine gently and avoid coating the fibres.

For synthetic wigs, a light mist of wig-safe dry shampoo followed by brushing can soften excess shine. Washing with products made for synthetic fibre may also help.

Do not overload the wig with powder, fabric products or household chemicals. Human-hair shine is best managed with proper cleansing and very small amounts of lightweight serum.
