How to Tell if a Wig Looks Natural (Not Shiny or Fake)
The most convincing wigs combine realistic texture, density, lace and movement.
Look at the wig in daylight. Human hair should have varied, soft reflection rather than a uniform plastic shine, while the density around the hairline should be lighter than through the lengths.
A believable part, knots that do not look too dark, and lace close to your skin tone matter as much as the hair itself. Natural movement and a shape that suits the wearer complete the effect.
- Check the hairline in natural light
- Choose realistic density over maximum volume
- Use a little dry shampoo only when needed
