How to Blend a Wig With Your Natural Hairline

A flat base, accurately placed lace and restrained styling make the hairline disappear.

Prepare your hair as flat as possible and place the lace just in front of, not far over, the natural hairline. Tint lace if needed, trim it gradually in a soft irregular line and use minimal adhesive.

Parting space, density and baby hair should look intentional. Avoid thick, uniform swoops; a few fine hairs or no baby hair can look more natural.

  • Trim lace in small sections
  • Do not place glue on natural hair
  • Use less product around the hairline
